a.  Libelli Cavelli: a Novel Latin Reader 

Presenter: Brent Cavedo, University of Georgia/Virginia Governor's Latin Academy


Libelli Cavelli is a young adult graphic novel written entirely in Latin. This text uses a limited vocabulary to teach a first year Latin curriculum that emphasizes conversational and reading skills to tell the story of a puella Punica, who is kidnapped by a pirate and sold as a slave in Rome.

 

c. Online Tools for the Latin Classroom

Presenter:  Matthew Davison, Friends’ Academy


This presentation will demonstrate different online resources that are available to Latin teachers to utilize within their classroom. Participants will experiment with aids such as socrative, magistrula, and screencast-o-matic.
